One of my newest Blogs is called ” Marketing With The Gurus” and should be a hit once I get it “loaded” up with more content.
The idea is simple. I wanted a Blog about the NEW Gurus, and some that have evolved, into the Marketers of Web 2.0 marketing. Everything changes on the Internet. Nothing stays the same, except for change. I was listening to Joe Vitale on my montly CD from him. He was interviewing a good friend of his that started in 1984 when BBSs were being used. WOW. That is when I STARTED too. Yep, I was an ADMIN to the largest BBS in South Texas.
What is a BBS , you say? That stands for Bulletin Board System. This was the “online” system BEFORE there was the Internet. Yep, that is how long I have been into computers. So what does that have to do with Marketing With The Gurus? Simple again. Everything changes, but is kinda the same.
WEB 2.0 is BBS on the Internet. People are creating the content now. Not like destination Web 1.0, where you went to a website as a portal. The older Gurus, were atune with Web 1.0 strategies, and monetization systems.
Those who have transformed are different Marketers. Now I have also registered “Marketing With The GURU” which will be another Blog for myself.
