There are all kinds of different ways to market a home based business. However, one of the most popular methods is buying a list of leads and calling them each and every day. This can be a rather grueling way of doing the business but it can also be really effective.

In order to do this method effectively you need to call a certain number of prospects every single day and you need to do it with consistency. So how many people should you be talking to each day? That can be a hard question to answer but here are some helpful tips.

First of all you want to think of the amount of leads you currently have. Are you on a leads service that sends you a specific amount every week or month? Or do you just have one big huge list and that’s it? Also you want to think about how many days per week you plan on calling leads. Do you want to call Monday through Friday or do you want to call on the weekend  too? Taking all of those variables into account is very important .

If you want to call 5 days a week I would recommend calling people Sunday through Thursday. Here is why, Friday and Saturday are not good days to call people about a business. That’s because people are in a good mood over the weekend. It is during the work week when people are most receptive to something like a home based business because they’re thinking about how much they don’t like their job. Sunday they are dreading going back to work and by Friday they’re already in weekend mode so that’s not a good calling day.

Once you know the number of days you want to call and which days you plan to call on you need to divide your number of leads between the days. Usually 300 is a good number to shoot for. If you can make 300 calls per day you’ll be on your way to success rather quickly. Of course you may not be able to make 300 calls every day but it’s a good number to work towards.

Keep in mind that the more people you call faster the more success you will have in a shorter period of time.
