I have a question for you. When it comes to talking to people about your home based business is honesty really the best policy?

After all no business is perfect. Each home based business is going to have it’s pro’s and it’s con’s but do you really want to tell your prospects about some of the more negative things when you’re trying to sign them up. Here is why my answer is a resounding yes!

I believe that in any type of business honesty is the best policy. Because in business it’s not the amount of people you sign up it’s the amount of people who sign up and take action that are going to make you the most money. You can have 500 people in your downline but if only a handful of them are working their businesses you’re not going to be making very much money. However, if you have 50 people who are on your team who are all going after it and working really hard you’re going to be making money hand over fist.

So what’s my point here? My point is that when you’re not honest with people they probably aren’t going to be as good at the business because they’re going to have signed up under false pretenses. If you tell someone that they can make a ton of money in your business doing nothing all day long you’ll probably get them to sign up. However, once they get started and realize that it’s not as easy as you’ve made it out to be you’re going to have someone who’s lazy (and probably pretty upset with you) on your team and that’s not going to make you any money.

So think about that the next time you are inclined to give someone a half truth or tell a little white lie to get someone to sign up. If you are always open and honest with the people that you do business with you might have fewer sign ups but the ones that you do have are going to be satisfied and make you a whole lot more money.
