OK my friend, read this one very slowly and carefully because this can be the topic that can absolutely Set you Free.
A lot of Home Business owners think that you have to become a “Super Sales Guy” and convince people to watch a DVD or attend home meetings to make money. This is not true.
I have a quote that I learn from a great mentor and I believe everybody should follow it.
“Sort, Market and DO NOT sell!”
If you are running your business like a telemarketer, cold calling prospects or like a sales man pitching your business to everybody you see, Your Biz
will fail faster than you can say “what happened!”.
Have you seen a “Super Sales Guy”? I Can spot them from a mile away and you can spot them too. Usually are the ones that from the beggining start recruiting in the double digits in a monthly basis like there is no tomorrow.
If you were the one that recruited him or her I am sure you couldn’t be more excited, and you will probably feel like you just “Made it” in your MLM. May be you are even thinking “If I can find 4 or 5 more like him or her”
But here is the problem. This kind of individuals only see the business as a numbers game.They don’t care about you, your dreams or your future.Their sole purpose is to get people “in” to make their money on the front end. We must understand that Network Marketing is about People and not numbers. Within a few months, all the people that got recruited by this “Super Sales Guy” start disappearing, like a plague took all over them until nobody is left.
Why does this happen? First , prospects were looking for a Mentor, that Leader that will help them find the way, not a “recruiter”, and second, People and their Personalities can’t be duplicated. The New prospect that just started can’t do what “Super Sales Guy” did, and he or she can’t figure out why.
After all, “Super Sales Guy” made it look so easy. This is why is very important to have an effective System in place. For expample, Look at the fast food restourants. They are multibillion dollars compnies run by under age kids because they have a SYSTEM in place. Systems are semi-duplicatable because they level the playing field for everyone.
What do I mean by semi-duplicatable? Remember, like I said before, People don’t join companies, they join YOU, which means that depending on whether you are a Real Leader or not is going to have a great impact on your sponsoring and overall buisness success.
In the end, when it comes to selling a business opportunity, your results will eventually fall on YOU and if you have nothing to offer to your prospects as leader, they just going to keep moving untill they find that leader. Let me ask you something. Do you have personal value to offer to your prospects? Are you an Real Leader? Will your prospects gain massivelly by associating with you? If not you better start working on that ASAP.
Probably your asking- “How can I detect and avoid the “Super Sales Guy” mentality to be successfull in my MLM?”
Very simple.
You are selling if you are…
*explaining ANYTHING about your product or business.
*saying anything more than the name of the company or product and cite a testimonial
*talking about the ingredients or the price.
*showing what it does.
*explain the compensation plan
*talking about the Company Founders and the Company’s Background
If you are doing some or all of the above STOP doing it. Become a Professional and sort or stay an Amateur and keep selling.
See yourself as promoter. Your job is to hand out information to as many targeted people as possible and let them know about your business opportunity or product. Nothing more nothing less.
YOUR ONE and ONLY JOB is to get out marketing tools to as many targeted propects as possible because it’s these marketing tools (Like the Internet) that do the selling for you.
The tools will sell the business and the product. You simply need to focus on study marketing,leadership and selling yourself as a Leader.
To give you a better view, imagine you own a Automaker Company. You could hire a 30yr veteran Car builder Expert with his hand tools to build you
cars or you could get a 21yr old kid, and put him to manage the robot machine that will build the cars. Who you think will be able build the most cars?
The 21yr old ofcourse but not bacause of his experience but for the tools he was using. He will be pruducing cars while he gain experience.
My point is, do not worry about the selling because the marketing tools will do it for you. Forget about the people who don’t get it, remove your attention on why your friends or neighbors didn’t see the incredeble opportunity that you see.
Do not focus on any of that because is not of your concern. Just focus on giving them the opportunity to simply say yes or no. All you are doing with each new person you expose to your MLM business is to create the opportunity for something good to happen. The more opportunities you create, the more success you will have.
